Tina deVaron’s latest release, Water Over Stones, is a collection of 14 songs about motherhood, raising teens, and grown-up love. With her powerful lyrics, a sultry musical style infused with blues, jazz, and funk, this album looks at the trials of raising pre-teens and teens — and the need to let children find their own way.

Mom's Night Out Concerts - Bring Tina to Your Town!

Tina deVaron’s Mom’s Night Out concert features her acclaimed music about motherhood along with a tasty dose of comedy between songs. Whether at a house concert, community center, or a larger venue, an evening with Tina honors the mothers in your community, and brings all who attend closer together.

Tina has delighted mothers all around the country with her sultry singing, her virtuoso jazz piano playing and her extraordinary ability to connect with diverse audiences. She has performed for community groups, schools, and corporations, and is currently headlining as the resident singer/pianist for the Carlyle Hotel’s
Tea with Madeline.

Tina brings a back-up band of accomplished musicians, or can perform solo, accompanying herself on piano and guitar. The show can be a 70-minute “one act” or two 35-minute sets with an intermission. Concerts are followed by a meet-and-greet reception with Tina. Often Tina will compose a song on the spot, using ideas or stories from the audience. She can also include musicians from the community — as she did with a capella choruses from Episcopal Academyin Philadelphia and Bates college in Maine.

Songs include the following:

• “Mom Is Not My Real Name,” a pop anthem for the moms who do it all
• “If Mama Ain’t Happy,” a rollicking, bluesy funk uptempo about the balancing act of motherhood
• “
Nothing But the Love,” a poignant ballad about our longing to be the perfect parent
• “
Girl You Might Have Been,” a samba-tinged ode to a fiesty three year old
• “
Stop the Mail,” a dramatic blues on the desire to get out from under an exhausting schedule

Mom’s Night Out concerts are unforgettable and fun; of highest quality, but also intimate and warm. Bring your community together as deVaron illuminates what a gift it is to be raising children in this time and place.
